Globe was tasked with coming up with a celebration trip to remember by a leading UK specialist resourcing and consultancy firm.
The company was looking for a joint New Year’s party and a celebration of their 18th Anniversay for their staff, and Globe managed the entire experience from start to finish.
What we did
This started with the registration process of the 349 attendees using branded, tailored web portals, online registration and delegate management tools, plus branded email and printed invitations in the run up to the event itself.
Starting from London St Pancras, event attendees were directed to the champagne bar before departing for Paris on the Eurostar. With such a large number of guests, split across a range of departure times, it could have been a logistical nightmare, but Globe was well prepared; we dispatched a team sporting t-shirts branded with the clients logo to St Pancras for the day to help direct guests to where they needed to get to and made sure they boarded the right trains.
The Eurostar carriages had also been branded with client’s logo, as had the private registration at St Pancras’s champagne bar, to not only reinforce the brand, but help to provide a visual prompt for attendees to head for.
Meanwhile the extended Globe team back at headquarters helped to support from base (and also supported their team mates in the field by sporting the branded shirts for the day!)
Waiting in Paris were two of the team, Mandy Burns and Gemma Cox who took care of everything over that side of the pond and eased the guests into their two night stay in the Intercontinental Hotel, which included a gala dinner and secret entertainment from Michael McIntyre and Spellbound. From ensuring that coaches ran smoothly to checking that the hotel was prepared, private tours of the Louvre were in hand and even rubbing shoulders (almost) with the entertainment (Michael McIntyre), Mandy and Gemma took care of it.
All in all, the event was a huge success and the clients had a thoroughly enjoyable trip, as the PA to the CEO stated:
We couldn’t have done it without you.
We look forward to working with them again in the future.
DESTINATION: Paris, France
DELEGATES: 349 attendees – employees and partners
