London’s up and coming (rooftop) street food
The popularity (and availability) of Street food is on the rise. Last year, Singapore’s “Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle” street hawker stall was awarded a Michelin Star – the first street food vendor to gain this prestigious and sought after award, which is usually reserved for high-end restaurants.
With the recognition of the quality of street food officially recognised, we’re now seeing more and more event venues where street food takes centre stage. These venues typically house a range of cuisines from multiple vendors – all tied together by the fact that they offer delicious, mouth watering food – with communal seating and cocktail bars.
Some venues are even taking this one step further, and literally elevating street food to the next level – by housing it on the roof! Rooftop bars have long been the hidden gems within London, offering unique, fantastic vista views of the capital away from the street-level hustle and bustle.
With all that in mind, you can check out a couple of the latest up and coming roof top street food venues that we’re excited about (and that we can see making fantastic venues for corporate events) in our ideas section:
